How entries are judged
Seven criteria. No paid votes.
The 2026 winners were shortlisted through a survey of churches and faith groups in four countries, then each nominee was reviewed by the organisers against these seven criteria. From 2027, entries are open to everyone and scored by a panel of designers, developers, ministry leaders and scholars. Awards can't be bought: entry fees cover judging, and the People's Choice vote is one free vote per person.

The inaugural 2026 nominees were shortlisted through a survey of churches and faith groups in four countries. The organisers then reviewed each nominee against seven published criteria: content and integrity, design, ease of use, engagement that helps, innovation, privacy and safety, and honest pricing. From 2027, entries are open to everyone and scored by a judging panel.
How do I enter the 2027 awards and what does it cost?+
Entries open 1 February 2027. The early bird fee is US$99 per entry until 31 March 2027, then US$149. Entries close 31 May 2027 and winners are announced in September 2027.
Can you pay for votes or buy an award?+
No. Entry fees cover judging only. There are no paid votes, and the People's Choice award allows one free vote per person.
Can winners and finalists use the badge?+
Yes. Every 2026 winner and finalist can download the official badge for their website, app store listing, press and marketing, for the year, category and tier awarded.
